Athena has traveled internationally and throughout the U.S. due to her prosperous dance career. In her high school years, Athena has won soloist awards in some of the most prestigious dance competitions such as the Music Center Spotlight Awards at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion in Los Angeles. She is also a recipient of scholarship awards and merit awards like the Dance Spirit Magazine ” Future Star Award”. After graduating , Athena continued her dance education at the Alvin Ailey School in New York City.  Athena then continued her professional dance career in Los Angeles. She has performed for Top Artists like NE-YO, Pitbull, Daddy Yankee, Avicii, Steve Aoki, two chainz, Wale and T-pain. Athena danced her way on to music award shows, TV shows , film, music videos with Grammy award-winning artists, and Tony award-winning artists. Not only has she had a successful dance career , Athena has also flourished in the world of choreography. She choreographed/ Co-directed  for a pre-professional dance company in south Orange County for 11 years. She was also instructing and choreographing for performing art schools, and high schools all over Southern California and in 2014 she was nominated for her choreography for Best Jazz at the infamous Dance Awards in Los Angeles.

During her adolescent and professional years of dancing , she was introduced to classical Pilates to help with her training and injuries. That’s when Athena discovered a new love besides dance. Core arts Pilates is where Athena began her classical training program to become a certified instructor. Athena’s trainer Sharmila Mitra who is the owner of Core arts Pilates in Anaheim, California apprenticed under the late master trainer Romana Kryzanowska, a protégé of Joseph Pilates.

In 2016, Athena started her career in teaching Pilates at Club Pilates. Since then, she has helped open multiple locations. She has been the lead instructor at the Rancho Cucamonga location growing it to become one of the top studios in the nation. Her top priorities are her clients safety and wellbeing as well as creating an environment where they can enjoy themselves walking out of every class feeling challenged. Her life goal is to help as many people achieve and find a lifestyle that promotes a balance in movement and health.
